Hey, how’s it going?

My name is Iván, and I am the founder of Ivanspanishcenter. I was born in Zaragoza (Spain), and I am a History and Spanish (ELE) teacher, AVE Global and SIELE teacher as well and DELE A1-A2, B1-B2 and C1-C2 examiner with experience of more than 8 years. I am passionate about teaching and learning languages, as well as different cultures. I have extensive international experience in countries such as Spain, Kazakhstan and Russia.

I have been teaching Spanish for 8 years, at all levels (elementary, intermediate, advanced, professional Spanish, companies to DELE and SIELE), both individually and in groups. Every day, I enjoy doing it, meeting new people every day from different parts of the world. The world is something
magical, and only through language can we understand the different cultures and the world around us.

I have had the privilege of taking Spanish classes with Iván for over six months and will continue to do so. From the very beginning, it was clear to me that Iván was an experienced professor who is extremely dedicated to the success of his students. During the classes he does an outstanding job of leading the classes and providing corrections, which I find most teachers do not do or do not know how to do it very well.

We also talk about interesting topics from supply-chain issues to cultural differences between the United States and Spain. These are not boring conversations about the weather. Iván integrates the grammar concepts during these conversations to assure that

you understand the proper usages of verb tenses and the dreaded subjunctive. He will also explain the concept as many times as necessary. Between the classes he always provides me interesting articles and exercises to reinforce the concepts. Ivan helped me improve my Spanish and prepare for the SIELE exam.  It had been many years since I had regularly used my Spanish, and I was quite rusty.  Ivan helped me regain and improve my level of Spanish. During class, he helped improve my conversation skills and grammar.  He provided very useful and targeted exercises for me to do between classes to improve in specific areas.  Ivan was always supportive but frank about areas where I needed improvement.

 For examination preparation, Ivan is very knowledgeable about how language tests are constructed and what the testers are looking for.  As with all tests, it is important to understand how the exam works along with having the substantive knowledge.  Ivan helped me obtain great results.

It was always enjoyable speaking with Ivan.  He always found interesting topics to discuss and is quite simply a nice guy.  

 

Iván me ayudó a renovar mi español y prepararme para el examen SIELE. Hacía mucho tiempo que no había hablado español, y me faltaba practica. Iván me ayudó a recuperar y mejorar mi nivel de español.  Durante las clases, me ayudó perfeccionar mis habilidades de conversación y gramática.  Me dio ejercicios muy útiles y específicos para hacer entre clases para mejorar áreas especifícas. Iván me apoyaba  con toda su energía, pero era siempre claro sobre las cosas que debía mejorar.

 

En cuanto a preparar para el examen, Iván está muy informado sobre cómo son los exámenes y las repuestas que buscan.  Como todos los exámenes, es imprescindible entender cómo se construye el examen además de tener el conocimiento adecuado del temario.  Iván me ayudó a sacar un resultado buenísimo.
